3 Dips to Make Summer Veggies More Healthy

By: Tami Pyles

Summer veggies are the best- fresh, sweet, and full of flavor. Stock up on in-season veggies, like corn, peppers, carrots and eggplant, to take advantage of all the great taste and nutrition these summer treats have to offer.

Summer veggies make a great side dish for meals... and the best part is, with all their great flavor, you don’t even need to cook them! A great and easy side dish for any summer meal is fresh cut veggies and dip.

Check out these three great dips you can make and serve with your summer veggies:

Dill Dip

This classic dip is easy to make and tastes great with fresh veggies.  Swap out the sour cream for plain Greek yogurt and you get an even healthier protein-packed version!

White Bean Dip

We have some food allergies in our house, so hummus is not something that we can eat. This white bean dip is simple to make, has a hummus like texture, and is full of good nutrition. Dip your summer veggies in this for an extra nutritional punch.

Avocado-Yogurt Dip

This decadent dip is great with veggies and even uses veggies as the base! This dip comes together quickly and is super creamy thanks to the yogurt.  I am not a fan of cilantro and left it out at my house-
it was still yummy even without it.
